Taming Force Overshoot in Rigid Press‑Fit Assembly

In rigid press‑fit processes, when the applied force exceeds the target value, force overshoot occurs. This is often influenced by press‑fit speed and material hardness. For instance, with a target force of 2 kN, the peak can surge to 2.833 kN—introducing overload risks and compromising process consistency.

The Solution: Adaptive Speed Control

With the Auto Speed Down function—standard on Leetx servo presses—the system dynamically adjusts press‑fit speed using an adaptive deceleration algorithm. By setting thresholds based on product rigidity, and leveraging high‑frequency motion replanning, overshoot is effectively suppressed.

The Result: Precision Without Compromise

Under the same conditions, activating this function lowers the peak force to 2.025 kN—much closer to the target—while maintaining cycle time. This enables fast, precise, and repeatable press‑fit performance that meets strict process standards.

Perfect for applications where precision, reliability, and control are non‑negotiable.
